I am the Student Minister at Stokelan Drive Christian Church in a small town in the bootheel of Missouri. In this blog I desire to write about subject matter that will help other ministers and their families. I will discuss leadership, volunteers, the Bible, marriage, and other topics that are closely related to this.

I have recently discovered that when I am not writing, I am not thinking as thoroughly as I could. Writing is how I get my thoughts “out there.” There may be improvements that need to be made to the way I think and I am all for your  help on my way.

My goal is to lead a Christ-centered life. Every part of my life belongs to Him. I am beyond grateful to the sacrifice Jesus made for me and I desire to grow walk closer with Him everyday and I encourage you to be a part of that journey.

It is my goal to post about 4 times a week. I post a link to my newest post on my twitter. You can follow by pressing follow on my page or by finding me here: http://twitter.com/#!/Brandon_Weldy

It is great to have you here and I hope that you will stay and feel free to look around!

MY BIOGRAPHY

I have been working in the ministry since May 2008. Most of that time has been part-time for a small congregation in Northeast Missouri. In August 2011 my family and I moved to answer the call to a full-time position as a Student Minister.

I was ordained by Cornerstone Christian Church in June of 2010. I am forever grateful for the help they were to me and for the training they provided. They were always very helpful and have a great desire to follow God’s lead wherever that may be.

I have been married to my beautiful wife since May 23, 2009. Life is simply amazing with her. She encourages me and it is wonderful doing ministry with her by my side. I could not imagine life without her. We have two sons who are absolutely amazing! I want to life my life better because of them. I want to be a man they can be proud to call Dad. I want to raise them to be a godly men and I desire to lead my marriage so that we are Christ-centered.

When I have some free time I enjoy taking my wife out for a nice date. I enjoy bowling, roller skating, running, and reading. I like to read about history. Knowing where we have come from and using that to understand where we are and where that leads us is fascinating to me.

That is a little about myself and hopefully through comments on this blog we can get to know each other better as we travel the road of life, the life God gives freely.

  1. Bootheel, eh? I’m in south central MO, only a couple of hours from there. Adding your blog to my RSS so I can see what’s going on there.
